Alan Newey is a workplace safety advocate whose personal journey took a dramatic turn when he lost his dominant right arm in a conveyor belt accident. Alan Newey is known as Australia’s First Bionic Man and as director of Chat Safety, Alan draws from his experience as an injured worker to deliver powerful, real-world insights into occupational health and safety (OHS). He compassionately exposes the brutal consequences of complacency, advocates for human-centered safety culture, and reminds organizations that “OHS is not just another thing I have to do.” With qualifications including a Diploma in OHS and Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, Alan uses his story to save lives and transform workplace attitudes.
