Charlie Bezzina • After nearly 4 decades of service in Victoria Police, Charlie retired in 2009, at the rank of Detective Senior Sergeant.
• He served in the hard streets of the western suburbs of Melbourne before becoming a specialist investigator at the:
-Police Internal Investigation Unit
-Drug Squad as team leader and undercover operative
-Various Task Forces
-But his forte lay with the Homicide Squad where he served for 17 years as a team leader/Investigator.
-While serving he was the recipient of 4 commendations for his work, along with Service Medals.
• In 2010, he authored his bestselling Auto Biography, “The Job, Policing from the front Line”
• Since retirement he was instrumental in establishing office of investigators for Greyhound Racing Victoria.
• Part of security Team for the 2015 Australian Men’s Cricket World Cup.
• Part of the Security Team for the 2018 Australian Women’s Cricket World Cup
• He has appeared in a number of high profile crime documentaries and podcasts.
• His pursuits now is as a Private Investigator, Security and Risk Consultant, highly sought after Corporate Speaker and Media Commentator.
